Conservatory Dance Company at the Byham Theater
Choreographed by Larry Keigwin, MADBOOTS, Matthew Powell, and Sonya Tayeh
April 14-16, 2016
Byham Theater, Pittsburgh's Cultural District
To many the highlight of the Conservatory Dance Company season, this production at the lovely Byham Theater in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District features magnetic pieces by some of the hippest names in contemporary American dance. Sonya Tayeh, known for her choreography for Madonna, the Martha Graham Dance Company, and emmy-nominated pieces for So You Think You Can Dance, will choreograph a world premiere piece, alongside innovative works byballet luminary Matthew Powell, and the founders of MADBOOTS, the all-male contemporary dance company based in NYC. Award-winning choreographer Larry Keigwin will present Triptych, a minimalist abstract piece inspired by classic triptychs of photography.
