Young Peter lives at his grandfather’s house in the forest.  Defying the rules one day, Peter ventures out of the clearing and encounters all the creatures of the woods. Including the wolf. The original beloved musical tale was created by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936 and has been adapted for generations around the world. Never before seen in Pittsburgh, this wonderfully reinterpreted, reinvented rendition introduces children to the magic of the theatre, complete with a tango, a waltz and a two-step shuffle.

A new adaptation for a new generation, the story of unprecedented atrocities come to life in the writings of a girl who lived in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. At times both poignant and funny, this play depicts the tragedy that befell so many people during the Holocaust through one young girl’s only way to get through each day. By writing. A Pittsburgh premiere for this adaptation, audiences will see anew the bleak terror and Anne’s awareness of what was happening around her.
